Lower Hutt fire engine-maker expands workforce as orders run hot
Lower Hutt fire engine maker Fraser Engineering is working flat-out and expanding its workforce as orders for emergency vehicles roll in.
While many businesses were struggling with the impact of Covid-19 on their revenues, chief executive Martin Simpson said Fraser Engineering was hiring skilled tradesmen in the Hutt Valley and for its growing manufacturing business in Australia.
“We are absolutely flat out, and are for the next two to three years, and our order book is growing,” Simpson said.
